Basketball Game Preview: Berean Academy Eagles vs. Mission Heights Prep Phantoms

The Berean Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Mission Heights Prep Phantoms at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Berean Academy took a blow against Skyline - Gila River, falling 54-24. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Skyline - Gila River are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Mission Heights Prep came up short against West Valley Christian on Tuesday and fell 41-28.

Mission Heights Prep has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Berean Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

Everything came up roses for Berean Academy against Mission Heights Prep in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 58-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berean Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
