Recap: Compass Rose Legacy Polar Bears vs. Varsity Opponent
The Compass Rose Legacy Polar Bears lost against Varsity Opponent last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Compass Rose Legacy lost to Varsity Opponent on the road by a decisive 32-18 margin. Compass Rose Legacy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Compass Rose Legacy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Angela Ruiz. Despite the final result, she scored four points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks. Ruiz is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Compass Rose Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Varsity Opponent, their win bumped their record up to 103-350.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Compass Rose Legacy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lifegate Christian at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to take on Mountain View Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Mountain View Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Tuesday.
