Football Recap: Taravella Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Taravella's offense. They took a 6-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coral Springs Charter Panthers on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Panthers are ranked 118th).

Taravella has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Coral Springs Charter, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Coming up, Taravella will take on Miramar at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coral Springs Charter, they will face off against Stoneman Douglas at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Panthers 4.4, the Eagles 0.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
