The Rifle Bears will take on the Bayfield Wolverines at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Rifle is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Rifle saw some tournament action on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Montrose. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

The team relied heavily on Robbie Magnuson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Josh Wright, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Bayfield lost 12-2 to Montrose on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Red Hawks: they've now lost five in a row.

Bayfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tavian Box, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Bayfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rifle, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
