Softball Recap: Corona's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Corona had lost six games straight , but after bumping their record up to 12-10 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Nogales Nobles with a sharp 19-3 win. The Panthers' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

As for Nogales, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

For Nogales' part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Carrera, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Corona has already played their next game (against Santiago), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Nogales, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-3 defeat against Garey on the 29th.
