Preview: LaCrosse Leopards vs. Ness City Eagles
The LaCrosse Leopards will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ness City Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. LaCrosse will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
LaCrosse put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past Macksville 69-48.
Meanwhile, Ness City scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wheatland-Grinnell 86-52 on the road. With that victory, Ness City brought their scoring average up to 50.9 points per game.
William Childers continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Durham, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
LaCrosse has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Ness City, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.
Everything came up roses for LaCrosse against the Eagles in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 as the squad secured a 62-31 win. Will LaCrosse repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
