Basketball Recap: Memorial Takes a Loss

Memorial lost against Ottawa-Glandorf back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Memorial Roughriders received a blow as they fell 55-40 to the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans. While losing is never fun, the Roughriders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 498th, while the Titans are ranked eighth).

This is the second loss in a row for Memorial and nudges their season record down to 3-12. As for Ottawa-Glandorf, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Memorial will challenge Bryan at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Memorial is facing Bryan at the right time seeing as Bryan is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ottawa-Glandorf, they will face off against Ottoville at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Ottawa-Glandorf has won 13 straight at home dating back to last season, while Ottoville won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
