Volleyball Recap: Kaylie Lynar Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Mountain View

It's playoff time, and Basha had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Mountain View Toros on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Bears were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Toros, so the Bears were just returning the favor.

One reason for the win was Basha's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-19, 25-17.

Basha's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaylie Lynar led the charge by getting 13 assists and nine digs. That's the most digs Lynar has posted over her last seven matches. Isla Little was another key player, getting 11 digs and two aces.

Basha was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matchups.

Basha's victory bumped their record up to 20-14. As for Mountain View, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season.

Basha will venture away from home to face off against Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
