Volleyball Recap: Barnesville Shamrocks vs. Monroe Central Seminoles
Barnesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Monroe Central Seminoles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Shamrocks of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 18-25, 25-17.
Barnesville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Monroe Central, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barnesville will take on Shenandoah at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Monroe Central, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Wheeling Central Catholic at 12:00 p.m.
