Santa Fe took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against St. Paul, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Chiefs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Swordsmen on Wednesday, sneaking past 5-4.

The team relied heavily on James Oregon, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Santa Fe's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for St. Paul, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Santa Fe has already played their next contest, a 7-1 victory against Orange on the 30th. As for St. Paul, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-3 win against El Modena on the 28th.
