Baseball Game Preview: Ware Shoals Hornets vs. Dixie Hornets

For the second straight game, Ware Shoals will face off against Dixie. Ware Shoals will face off against Dixie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Ware Shoals has won nine straight at home dating back to last season, while Dixie won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Hornets on Tuesday. Ware Shoals fell just short of Dixie by a score of 5-4.

Ware Shoals saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Madden, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Dylan Evans also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Ware Shoals' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-4. As for Dixie, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
