Football Recap: East Chambers Buccaneers vs. Diboll Lumberjacks
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact East Chambers can now relate to. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Diboll Lumberjacks on Thursday. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
East Chambers lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kj Fontenot, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Fontenot has posted since back in September. Koby Jones was another key player, rushing for 42 yards and two touchdowns.
It was another big night for Michael Mosley, who rushed for 100 yards on only 12 carries, and also caught a touchdown for Diboll. Another player making a difference was Jamauri Gallien, who rushed for 132 yards.
East Chambers' loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Diboll, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.
