Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairview). They blew past the Skyline Falcons 16-4 on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Cooper Neumann was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Fairview's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-8 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Fairview got a massive performance out of Jack Espiritu-Niswonger, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one RBI. The Eagles will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
