Basketball Recap: Newman International Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Uplift Infinity Prep on Wednesday, Newman International Academy came back down to earth. The Warriors were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 58-57 to the Heritage Christian Athletics Falcons.

Newman International Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Patrick Brown, who shot 64% from the field on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Noah Palmer, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.

Newman International Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Heritage Christian Athletics, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Newman International Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-28 victory against Johnson County Sports Association on the 21st. As for Heritage Christian Athletics, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-54 loss against Bethesda Christian on the 21st.
