Football Recap: Banquete Comes Up Short

Banquete was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Taft Greyhounds, falling 43-12. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.

Banquete's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Taft, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Banquete is set to square off against their familiar foe George West at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Taft will take on rival Santa Rosa at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
