Basketball Recap: Lisbon Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Lisbon challenged Tipton on Saturday. The Lisbon Lions took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tipton Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Tigers are ranked 108th).

Lisbon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Tipton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

Lisbon has already played their next match (against Beckman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Tipton, they will welcome West Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tipton is facing West Branch at the right time seeing as West Branch is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
