Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Grier Pancione and Olivia Dart Lead Highland to Victory

Highland hadn't done well against Trinity at Meadow View recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Hawks blew past the Tempest 3-0. The Hawks were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Tempest, so the Hawks were just returning the favor.

Highland walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 25-10.

Highland was led to victory by Olivia Dart and Grier Pancione. Dart had 17 assists and one block, while Pancione had four aces. That's the most aces Pancione has posted since back in September of 2024.

They weren't the only good servers: Highland was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 32 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Highland's record now sits at 6-7. As for Trinity at Meadow View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Coming up, Highland will take on Tandem Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity at Meadow View, they will face off against Madeira at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
