Volleyball Game Preview: Davis Pirates vs. Sunnyside Grizzlies

The Davis Pirates will challenge the Sunnyside Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Davis will be strutting in after a win while Sunnyside will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Davis made easy work of Eastmont and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Sunnyside came up short against East Valley on Saturday and fell 3-1.

Sunnyside was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made East Valley work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 18-25, 25-19, 25-18.

Sunnyside's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Davis, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Davis took their win against Sunnyside when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
