Basketball Game Preview: Daniel Lions vs. Seneca Bobcats

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Daniel Lions challenge the Seneca Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday... Daniel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.8 points per game this season.

Daniel is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Pickens: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Daniel blew Pickens out of the water with a 72-33 final score. With the Lions ahead 34-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Daniel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tristyn Carrington led the charge by going 5 of 7 en route to 13 points and five rebounds. Jackson Conley was another key player, going 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points and eight boards.

Seneca has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-61 heartbreaker at the hands of Blue Ridge.

Daniel is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.1 points per game. As for Seneca, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Daniel came up short against Seneca in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 60-55. Can Daniel avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
