Baseball Recap: Windermere Prep Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Windermere Prep's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Foundation Academy Lions on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lakers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Windermere Prep has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Foundation Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windermere Prep will challenge Crooms Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lakers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Foundation Academy, they will take on Poinciana at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.3 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
