Volleyball Game Preview: Commerce Red Raiders vs. Southwick Regional Rams

The Commerce Red Raiders will square off against the Southwick Regional Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Commerce didn't have quite enough to beat West Springfield and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Southwick Regional had to endure a four-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West Springfield on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since October 15, 2024.

Southwick Regional took West Springfield into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 14-25, 24-26, 15-8.

Commerce has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Southwick Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.

Commerce skirted past Southwick Regional 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Red Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
