Volleyball Recap: Kankakee Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Kankakee came into Tuesday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Crete-Monee Warriors on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in September.

Kankakee never let Crete-Monee on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-21.

Erin Wills paced Kankakee's offense, picking up seven kills. Wills got some help from Elizabeth Avalos and her seven assists.

Kankakee's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Crete-Monee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-18 record this season.

Kankakee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Rich Township on the 23rd. As for Crete-Monee, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Thornton on the 23rd.
