On Tuesday, Seaside came up short against Pajaro Valley and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Monterey County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Marina on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2.

North Monterey County wouldn't go down easily and took Marina into a fifth set where they got it done with a 13-point win. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-21, 25-21, 19-25, 15-2.

Seaside's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for North Monterey County, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season.
