Basketball Recap: Calhoun Comes Up Short

Calhoun was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 59-28 loss at the hands of the Sinton Pirates. That's two games in a row now that the Sandcrabs have lost by exactly 31 points.

Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Sinton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-17 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calhoun will face off against Rockport-Fulton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sinton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wharton at 6:30 p.m. on February 18th.
