Softball Recap: Timber Creek Beats V.R. Eaton for Their Third Straight Victory

It was a Battle of the Birds when Timber Creek took on V.R. Eaton on Wednesday. The Falcons came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 6-2. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Addi Inocencio made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.

Inocencio wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Carly Branscum, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Timber Creek's record is now 15-5-1. As for V.R. Eaton, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5-1.

Timber Creek has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Northwest on the 24th. As for V.R. Eaton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-9 win against Keller on the 24th.
