Volleyball Recap: Whale Branch Takes a Loss

Whale Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Vincent's Saints.

St. Vincent's was led to victory by Emory Doan and Sophie Chu-Dy. Doan had five aces, while Chu-Dy had five aces and one assist. Those five aces gave Doan a new career-high. Gabby Namias also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Whale Branch's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for St. Vincent's, their victory bumped their record up to 27-9.

Whale Branch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Cartersville on the 27th. As for St. Vincent's, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Savannah Christian on the 27th.
