Volleyball Recap: Durango Trailblazers vs. Sierra Vista Mountain Lions

Durango was the 3-0 winner over Sierra Vista when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trailblazers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain Lions on Saturday.

Ethan Egoian paced Durango's offense, picking up five kills. Egoian got some help from James Carl Serrano and his nine assists.

Sierra Vista can attribute much of their success to Jeremiah James, who had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces James has posted since back in March.

Durango has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Sierra Vista, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-10.

Durango wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Mater Academy East Las Vegas on the 5th. As for Sierra Vista, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Cheyenne on the 5th.
