Volleyball Recap: Norton Comes Up Short

Norton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Westwood Wolverines. If the Lancers were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Wolverines when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-21, 18-25, 25-18, 25-16.

Norton's offense was headlined by Marin Watras and Casey Dart, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Maddie Artz and her 12 assists. Catherine Reiss controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Norton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Westwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Norton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against North Attleborough on the 1st. As for Westwood, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Medfield on the 3rd.
