Volleyball Recap: Lake of the Woods Comes Up Short

Lake of the Woods was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Thief River Falls Prowlers. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Prowlers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-18.

Jordyn Matthias paced Lake of the Woods' offense, picking up seven kills. Matthias got some help from Danika Lucek and her 13 assists.

Lake of the Woods' loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Thief River Falls, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Lake of the Woods will be playing at home against Blackduck at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thief River Falls, they will head out on the road to challenge Park Rapids at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
