Basketball Game Preview: Eastern View Cyclones vs. Chancellor Chargers

Eastern View and Chancellor are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Eastern View Cyclones will welcome the Chancellor Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern View knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Chancellor likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Eastern View didn't have too much trouble with James Monroe as they won 81-65.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Chancellor over Spotsylvania in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Chancellor blew Spotsylvania out of the water with an 83-42 final score. That looming 83-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Chargers yet this season.

Chancellor's win came from a few key players Eastern View will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Xavier Heggie, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Nathan Reich, who posted 14 points.

Eastern View's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Chancellor, they have also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season.

Eastern View skirted past Chancellor 73-70 when the teams last played on January 3rd. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Chancellor's Larell Edwards, who earned 20 points and eight rebounds.
