Volleyball Game Preview: Jordan-Matthews Jets vs. Seaforth Hawks

The Jordan-Matthews Jets will face off against the Seaforth Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Jordan-Matthews' win against Central Davidson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jets had just enough and edged out the Spartans 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Jets have posted since April 20, 2024.

Meanwhile, Seaforth waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Jaguars as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Seaforth took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-12, 25-6.

Seaforth found their leader in sophomore Lucas Ferri, who had eight aces and one block.

Seaforth couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 42.1% of their attack attempts. That's the best hitting percentage they've posted all season.

Seaforth's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Jordan-Matthews, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
