Volleyball Recap: Folsom Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Folsom walked away with it. They blew past the Kennedy Cougars 3-0 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Folsom was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-18.

Folsom was led to victory by Cisco Guevara and Neelagreev Chintaluri. Guevara had 11 assists and four digs, while Chintaluri had 11 assists. That's the most assists Guevara has posted since back in February. Maxwell Norberg also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Kennedy lost, don't look at Owen Yang. Despite the final result, he had 21 digs. Yang has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times he's played.

Folsom pushed their record up to 28-9 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Kennedy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Folsom didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Sheldon on the 2nd. Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
