The Cordova Lancers will head out to square off against the Antelope Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Cordova earned a 6-1 win over Grant. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.
Nathaniel Jones was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Levi Nyberg, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Cordova: the team is 4-0-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Noah Oxley, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Antelope made easy work of Kennedy on Monday and carried off an 18-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won seven contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Like Cordova, Antelope also got a great game from a two-way player: Jacob Romo. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Romo was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Nick Ehrman was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Kaden Coates was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Antelope always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kennedy only posted an OBP of .360.
Cordova's record is now 8-5-1. As for Antelope, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
