Leflore County dropped down to 3-3 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 13-1 to the Riverside Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Donovan Leflore was cooking despite his team's loss, getting a hit. He has been hot recently, having also posted three or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.

As for Riverside, the win got them back to even at 4-4. The victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Leflore County: they've now won five in a row.

On Riverside's side, they let Jonathan Knox and Colten Misskelley run wild. Knox got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Misskelley got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Riverside is undefeated when Misskelley posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Lee'Eric Wigfall was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI and one run.

Leflore County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Delta at 4:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for Riverside, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-0 defeat against Calhoun Academy on the 9th.
