Soccer Game Preview: St. Cloud Cathedral vs. St. John's Prep

St. Cloud Cathedral has gone 9-1 against St. John's Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Crusaders will take on the Johnnies in a tournament on Saturday. St. Cloud Cathedral is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 13 games.

St. Cloud Cathedral's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Melrose 9-0. The result was nothing new for St. Cloud Cathedral, who have now won ten matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Melrose from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Nora Simones led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, St. John's Prep won against Albany last Tuesday with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again last Thursday. The Johnnies were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over Melrose.

St. John's Prep's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for St. Cloud Cathedral, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.

St. Cloud Cathedral was able to grind out a solid win over St. John's Prep when the teams last played back in September, winning 2-0. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Johnnies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
