Basketball Recap: Urbana University Takes a Loss

Urbana University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Momence Momence Athletics, falling 45-12. The Illineks were down 34-10 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

A Miracle Johnson had an outrageously good game for Momence as she went 6 for 13 on her way to 18 points and four steals. Those 18 points gave Johnson a new career-high. Adyki Gunn was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 10 points.

Urbana University's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Momence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Urbana University will challenge Calvary Christian Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Momence, they will face off against Illinois Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
