Soccer Game Preview: Gill St. Bernard's vs. Kellenberg Memorial

The Gill St. Bernard's Knights will take on the Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gill St. Bernard's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Gill St. Bernard's took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They never let Princeton get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Kellenberg Memorial has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 13. They came up short against St. Anthony's on Thursday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Kellenberg Memorial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 156th, while St. Anthony's are ranked 17th).

The win got Gill St. Bernard's back to even at 6-6. As for Kellenberg Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-4.
