Recap: Clover Hill Cavaliers vs. Cosby Titans
The Clover Hill Cavaliers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 73-36 loss at the hands of Cosby. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Clover Hill of the 75-34 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Monday.
Despite the defeat, Clover Hill saw an underclassman step up: Cara Barker scored eight points.
Hailey Schaaff went supernova for Cosby, scoring 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schaaff has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Juliona Mabie, who scored 15 points.
Clover Hill's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-14. As for Cosby, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clover Hill will face off against Manchester at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Manchester's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home while Clover Hill has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Cosby, they will challenge Thomas Dale at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Cosby is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
