Imlay City is 9-1 against Almont since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Imlay City Spartans will head out to challenge the Almont Raiders at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Monday, Imlay City got the win against Marine City by a conclusive 55-34. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Almont). They blew past Marlette, posting a 52-23 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

The victory got Imlay City back to even at 7-7. As for Almont, their win bumped their record up to 2-11.

Everything came up roses for Imlay City against Almont in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 51-15 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Imlay City since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
