Football Game Preview: South Bend Saint Joseph Huskies vs. Mishawaka Cavemen

South Bend Saint Joseph is 1-6 against Mishawaka since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Huskies will face off against the Cavemen at 7:00 p.m. South Bend Saint Joseph's defense has only allowed 8.7 points per game this season, so Mishawaka's offense will have their work cut out for them.

South Bend Saint Joseph is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 14-7 victory over Northridge. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

Meanwhile, Mishawaka didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Plymouth on Friday, but they still walked away with a 21-17 win. Those 21 points were actually the fewest the Cavemen have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

South Bend Saint Joseph better focus on containing Kadyn O'Neal and Landon Snyder as the pair were huge in Mishawaka's win. O'Neal rushed for 100 yards and a pair of TDs, while Snyder rushed for 115 yards and one score on only 14 carries. O'Neal is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Mishawaka's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, their win bumped their record up to an identical 10-1.

South Bend Saint Joseph might still be hurting after the 30-8 loss they got from Mishawaka in their previous meeting back in August of 2022. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
