Recap: Fontainebleau Bulldogs vs. Hammond Tornadoes

The Fontainebleau Bulldogs lost to the Hammond Tornadoes back in January of 2023, but the Fontainebleau Bulldogs didn't allow the Hammond Tornadoes the same satisfaction on Friday. Fontainebleau managed a 46-41 win over Hammond. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Fontainebleau.

Fontainebleau got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Annalise Shidel out in front who scored 12 points along with three steals. Shidel is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynne Callahan, who scored 13 points.

Fontainebleau's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Hammond, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.

Fontainebleau will head out on the road to face off against Salmen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Salmen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Saturday. As for Hammond, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Mandeville at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. Mandeville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
