Recap: Gann Academy Red Heifers vs. Boston Trinity Academy Lions
The Gann Academy Red Heifers were the 69-52 winner over the Boston Trinity Academy Lions when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Gann Academy was the victim of a rough 73-51 defeat at the hands of Boston Trinity Academy on Thursday.
Wellbi Perez-Valera was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Boston Trinity Academy. The matchup was Perez-Valera's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Ceadan McCusker was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds.
Gann Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Boston Trinity Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Gann Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall at 4:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Boston Trinity Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cambridge at 5:00 p.m. on January 12th.
