Soccer Recap: Southridge's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Southridge entered their game against Ferguson on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Southridge Spartans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ferguson Falcons. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Spartans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Southridge's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2-1. As for Ferguson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0-1.

Southridge and Ferguson should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Southridge (ranked 83rd) will meet Sunset (ranked 449th) at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Ferguson will challenge Varela at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday up 245 places (29 vs. 274).
