Softball Preview: Livermore Cowboys vs. Ukiah Wildcats        
        
		
            
 The Livermore Cowboys will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against the Ukiah Wildcats at 5:00  p.m. Livermore will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak  alive.
 Livermore is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Thursday. They won by a  run and slipped past California  6-5.
  Kaci Norton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and three unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Payten Williams and  Laine Macosky did most of the damage at the plate:  Williams  went 1-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Macosky  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.  Jae Cosgriff was another key contributor,  going 2-for-4 with a  triple and a  run.
 Ukiah aren't just finding success at home, as their game  on Friday extended their overall winning streak to 13. They never let Piner onto the board and left with  a   12-0  win. Ukiah might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 12 contests by six  runs or more this season.
  Kyla Cromer tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits over five innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Adalei Jacobsen was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaidyn Sanders, who  went 3-for-3 with three  RBI.
 Livermore is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven games,  which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record  this season. As for Ukiah, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.
 Tuesday's   matchup will be a test for both team's pitchers. Livermore hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like Ukiah struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
