Battle Creek Academy takes loss despite strong efforts from Sofia Keller and Olivia Keller

Recap: Battle Creek Academy Tigers vs. Calhoun Christian Cougars

After a string of four wins, the Battle Creek Academy Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 34-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calhoun Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Battle Creek Academy has scored all season.

Olivia Keller and Sofia Keller certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Keller scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and six blocks, while Keller scored 21 points along with six rebounds. Keller scored a full 72.4% of Battle Creek Academy's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Battle Creek Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Battle Creek Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Calhoun Christian, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Battle Creek Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kellogg at 5:30 p.m. on January 9th. Kellogg is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. Calhoun Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pansophia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th.
