Basketball Recap: Chippewa Valley Victorious

Chippewa Valley posted their closest victory since December 5, 2023 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-53 win over the Dakota Cougars. Given the Big Reds' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Cougars are ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chippewa Valley's record is now 13-3. As for Dakota, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chippewa Valley will welcome Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dakota, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Dakota Cougars take on the Roseville Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
