Basketball Recap: Chugiak Comes Up Short

Chugiak lost against West Anchorage back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chugiak Mustangs took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Anchorage Eagles.

Chugiak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for West Anchorage, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

Chugiak and West Anchorage could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alaska Rankings. Chugiak will challenge Service at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 51 places (58 vs. 7). Similarly, West Anchorage (ranked 33rd) will meet Nome-Beltz (ranked second) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
