FRENCH CAMP, Miss. - the Panthers scored 35 points in the second quarter to secure a big 49-6 victory over West Oktibbeha (Maben, Miss.) on Saturday.
French Camp Academy scored on a rushing touchdown, a touchdown run, a passing touchdown, a passing touchdown and a defensive touchdown in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, FCA led 42-0 at the half.
The French Camp school expanded its lead to 49 points entering the fourth quarter. The Panthers scored once in the quarter on a rushing touchdown.
West Oktibbeha's only touchdown came on a pass in the fourth quarter.
Coming into the game French Camp Academy had allowed 24.8 points per game this year.
The loss was the third in a row for the Timberwolves.
In a 1A Region 3 game next week French Camp Academy (2-4) takes on East Oktibbeha, and West Oktibbeha (0-3) will go up against West Lowndes also in a 1A Region 3 game.
