Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Emerson). They blew past the Heritage Coyotes 27-1 on Saturday. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by nine runs or more this season.
Madison Fletcher was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alexis Maijala, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Gianna Lipsky was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
