Volleyball Recap: Gadsden City Takes a Loss

Gadsden City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glencoe Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Gadsden City started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-11, 15-10.

Gadsden City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Glencoe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Gadsden City will take on Fort Payne at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Glencoe, they will face off against Westbrook Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
